LOVE OF THE GAME

Kevin Welsey Love has a DNA for the Big Show of the NBA thanks to his father Stan Love who played five years in the NBA. Lesser-known DNA source: Mike Love, founding member of legendary band, The Beach Boys is Kevin’s uncle. This explains K Love’s ability to harmonize. Currently Love is a power forward making b-ball hits with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kevin owns an NBA Championship, an Olympic gold medal, 4 NBA All-Star trips, a PAC-10 Player of the Year award and Oregon’s high school career points record (2628). Oh and middle name “Welsley” is for dear family friend, NBA great, Wes Unseld. Love is everywhere.

DeMarcus Cousins

Center, New Orleans Pelicans

  • "MAN, YOU GOT A LOT OF BOOGIE"

The quote that stuck from assistant U of Kentucky coach, Rod Strickland, commenting on big man DeMarcus’ ability to make agile, small-man moves. Boogie has made some big-time moves since his days at LeFlore Magnet High School in Mobile, Alabama. As a LeFlore Rattlesnake, he was voted to both the Parade and McDonalds All-American Teams. Demarcus spent a year at U of Kentucky maturing further and picking up a sweet nickname. Since being drafted 5th overall in the 2010 NBA draft, Mr. Cousins has gone on to one All-Rookie First Team start, three All-Star appearances and two gold medals with the USA National team. Not bad for a guy with a lot of Boogie.
