TAMPA, FL – Tribridge (www.tribridge.com) , a leading U.S.-based IT services and business consulting firm, today announced that its customer, Shock Doctor Sports (www.shockdoctor.com), was recognized by Microsoft® with the 2013 award for Technology Innovation: Small Business category as part of the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards program. Representatives from Shock Doctor will be honored by Microsoft executives at an awards luncheon March 19 at Convergence 2013 in New Orleans.
The Technology Innovation Award recognizes a small business organization with less than 1,000 employees that has achieved measurable success in transforming its IT footprint through innovative use of Microsoft Dynamics.
“We are thrilled for Shock Doctor to get the recognition they deserve, and we are humbled to have had the opportunity to help them build a stronger technology infrastructure to better serve their customers and ultimately keep athletes safe from injury,” said Tony DiBenedetto, chairman and CEO of Tribridge.
With less than 100 employees, Shock Doctor has transformed and elevated the sporting and athletic goods industry with innovative sports protection and performance products. The company started with the development of mouthguards and quickly evolved into a global provider of a variety of protection and performance equipment and apparel. As Shock Doctor added product lines and began to serve new markets, it was evident that its internal systems needed innovation as well. Legacy accounting and reporting systems, disparate applications and manual processes limited the rapidly growing company’s ability to access real-time data, make effective business decisions and scale operations with growth.
Shock Doctor partnered with Tribridge to customize and deploy an ERP system built on Microsoft Dynamics GP and a variety of third-party applications. The company achieved several positive outcomes following the implementation, some of which include the seamless integration of financials, electronic data interchange (EDI), and pricing and inventory systems following the acquisition of a leading sport glove company, Cutters Gloves; a 25%+ year-over-year growth of online sales from the company’s integrated consumer website; data warehouse response times improved by more than 50%; database performance increased by more than 25%; and an eight-hour savings from automated financial reporting during month-end close.
“Team Shock Doctor is very pleased with our Tribridge partnership. In my experience, picking the right implementation partner for an ERP project is THE most critical decision,” said Dennis Goetz, CFO of Shock Doctor. “Tribridge’s deep Dynamics GP experience, flexibility and commitment to our success truly complemented our team and contributed to the project’s functional success as well as its on-time and under-budget completion.”

About Cutters Gloves
Cutters develops, manufactures, distributes and markets an industry-leading line of football gloves and accessories as well as other sports gloves for the baseball, fitness, golf and soccer markets. True glove experts, Cutters Gloves, made with their exclusive C-TACKTM Performance Grip Material, are crafted from the highest quality materials for the best performance and durability. Other gloves may look similar, but the silicon application that most other companies use on their gloves results in an inferior grip -- a grip that will peel off, wear out more quickly, and that does not self-restore. An industry leader in the US and Canada, Cutters Gloves are also sold in 15 countries worldwide.
